I have been learning to write a persuasive speech. I found this challenging because there were so many facts to chose from. Something I learnt is that you can always put to many facts in something. I found it nervwracking to present my speech to the class but I felt relived when it was finished. My next step is to have less facts!

My reflection 

 I am learning to write an information report.  An information report needs to have a beginning, a middle and a end. It includes facts and must be written in present tense. I found this easy because I had been to kaitaia. My next step is to do a better conclusion and make better links to the topic.

My Reflection
I have been learning to use a variety of different sentences to use in my stories to make them more interesting for my readers.  My favorite type of sentence was the 2 word sentence.  The sentence I found tricky was the 1,2,3 because it was hard to find 3 words about the picture.  My next step is use a variety of different sentences in my writing.

ANZAC A-Z challenge

I have been learning to find and summarize information.  We have been learning about Anzac day.  Something that I learnt  when I did this activity was I learnt that the Anzacs used mare than guns.  Something that I found interesting was the pictures of the Anzacs.

Treetop Treasures - Making a Prediction

I have just been learning to make a justified prediction about a text bused on the cover and the blurb. We read a novel caled treetop treasures. My prediction wasn't accurate because the chapters were hard to predict. Some think that surprised me was that the chapters were realy short. My next step is to look carefully at the cover and the blurb to help me think about what the story will be about.

I am learning to link ideas (both implicit and explicit) in the text so I get greater understanding of the story. I found this hard because it was so long.  My next step is to define, explain and understand the terms explicit and implicit in my own words.

Statistical Investigation

My Reflection

I am learning to use the statistical inquiry cycle to carry out a investigation.  My investigation was about favorite fruit.  Now I know how to make a graph on my drive.  I was surprised that mango was the favorite.  My next step is to display data in different ways like pie charts.
